The route travels 119km (73.9 miles) from the Atlantic Ocean across County Donegal to the Northern Ireland border at Kelly’s Bridge. Discussions are currently taking place to continue the trail into Northern Ireland to the North Channel. Someday there will be a route that crosses the entire island of Ireland.
