The IAT of the Republic of Ireland

This video highlights the new section of the International Appalachian Trail (IAT) that has been established in the Republic of Ireland.

The route travels 119km (73.9 miles) from the Atlantic Ocean across County Donegal to the Northern Ireland border at Kelly’s Bridge. Discussions are currently taking place to continue the trail into Northern Ireland to the North Channel. Someday there will be a route that crosses the entire island of Ireland. This project was funded by Failte Ireland and the National Trails Office of the Irish Sports Council. Produced by Flagler Films
